A Wirral takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

New Chung Wah Fish & Chips, a takeaway at 53 Grange Road West, Birkenhead, Wirral was given the score after assessment on September 5, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Wirral's 343 takeaways with ratings, 138 (40%) have ratings of five and just four have zero ratings.
