A Wirral restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Wallasey Golf Club, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Bayswater Road, Wallasey Village, Wirral, Merseyside was given the maximum score after assessment on July 7, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Wirral's 611 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 410 (67%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
