New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Wirral’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Cathys, at 39 Fleetcroft Road, Woodchurch, Wirral was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 9.

And YUM, at 276 Old Chester Road, Tranmere, Wirral was also given a score of four on March 9.

It means that of Wirral's 625 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 430 (69%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
