New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of St Helens’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

A + Pizza, at 111a Leach Lane, Sutton Leach was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 1.

And The Tasty Corner, at Tasty Corner, 55-57 Greenfield Road, Dentons Green was given a score of three on November 1.

It means that of St Helens's 175 takeaways with ratings, 54 (31%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
