New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Liverpool’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Liverpool’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Hot and spicy / shuga shuga, at 124 North Hill Street, Liverpool was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on December 7.

And Sham Gate, at 39 Granby Street, Liverpool was also given a score of four on December 7.

It means that of Liverpool's 592 takeaways with ratings, 258 (44%) have ratings of five and just 12 have zero ratings.
