New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Liverpool’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Liverpool’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Quirky Burgers, at 189 County Road, Liverpool was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 4.

And Empire Pizza, at 459 West Derby Road, Liverpool was given a score of three on July 4.

It means that of Liverpool's 543 takeaways with ratings, 222 (41%) have ratings of five and just 10 have zero ratings.
