Liverpool are unlikely to be able to pull off the signing of Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, according to the latest reports.
Musiala, 20, has emerged as one of the world’s best young talents but is currently being linked with a move away from the German champions following the news that there has been no movement on a contract extension.

That has opened the door slightly ajar for some of Europe’s elite to target the playmaker, but Liverpool are unlikely to be a part of the chasing pack.
According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenburg (speaking on Sky Sports News) there are currently no concrete/advanced contract talks between Bayern and Musiala. “With a contract until 2026, the player is in no rush and wants to observe the development around the club - and whether his goal of winning the Champions League and the Ballon d’Or are achievable in Munich.
“There was a first meeting between Christoph Freund (Bayern’s sporting director) and Musiala’s management. Musiala currently has no thoughts about leaving Bayern, but if he ever considered leaving, only Real Madrid and Manchester City would be realistic options. Liverpool are keeping an eye on Musiala, but are not a serious option for the player.”

Musiala is also currently one of the frontrunners for the inaugural Golden Boy award, which crowns one young player as the best in Europe every year. He sits alongside Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Barcelona’s Gavi as standout contenders.
He is currently valued at a huge €110.00m, according to Transfermarkt, and he has 32 goals and 26 assists in 134 games for Bayern so far.
