Player out of contract in 2022 outlines transfer stance amid reported Liverpool and Tottenham interest

Paulo Dybala has reportedly made his stance over a potential move to Liverpool clear amid continued speculation about his future at Juventus, according to CalcioMercato.

The South American is out of contract in Italy at the end of the season, and as yet, has failed to put pen to paper on an extension.

With a possible exit looming, it is understood that Dybala is attracting attention from a number of clubs across Europe, with Inter Milan in particular said to be keeping close tabs on his situation.

As recently as last month, CalcioMercato also suggested that Liverpool were among those keen on offering Dybala a fresh challenge, as are Tottenham, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid, according to Corriere della Sera.

Dybala’s contract situation

Dybala’s current deal with Juve expires at the end of the season, meaning that he could become a free agent as soon as June.

The Italian giants have reportedly made efforts to tie the forward down to a fresh deal already, however.

Claims from Italy suggest that Juventus had agreed an extension to Dybala’s deal back in October that would have run until 2026.

However, because of the club’s financial situation at that time, they were unable to finalise the agreement, and now intend to revisit talks in February while the Argentine remains in limbo.

Dybala’s stance

Despite widespread interest from several high-profile clubs, including Liverpool, CalcioMercato suggest that Dybala has made it clear to his friends and close associates that he is eager to sign a new deal with Juventus.

Specifically, the player is said to be against the idea of moving to Inter, however, as he does not feel that he could represent one of Juve’s most prominent domestic rivals after spending seven years in Turin.

Dybala cost the Old Lady £27 million in 2015, and is currently their vice-captain.
