Frank Lampard revealed that Michael Keane was struggling with illness during Everton’s embarrassing loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
The centre-back was brought off at half-time in the chastening 5-0 defeat in the capital - moments after Mason Holgate’s clearance smashed into his face from point-blank range.

Due to the Toffees’ lack of centre-half options, with Ben Godfrey (hamstring) and Yerry Mina (quad) unavailable, Keane put himself up for selection.
Lampard’s now primed to welcome Godfrey back to training, although Mina could be at least another five weeks away from full fitness.
The Everton boss said: “Michael has been unwell for the last couple of days.

“Ben Godfrey is back training this week, Yerry Mina is going to be another four or five weeks, at least.
“We don’t have options in that area of the pitch. As you see with any squad, if you lose your two main centre halves, it makes things very difficult.
“The reality is we conceded through that area tonight.
“Michael was more that he was struggling off the back of not feeling great.”
