We take a look at the potential incomings and outgoing that could happen.

Incoming - Ainsley Maitland-Niles

Everton have been in talks with Arsenal about a loan deal for the 24-year-old with the option to buy next summer.

Maitland-Niles spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom where he impressed. He made 12 appearances but wasn't able to help the Baggies avoid relegation.

The five-cap England international came off the bench for Arsenal in their 5-0 thrashing at Manchester City.

He's a versatile performer who's capable of playing in central midfield, right-back and as a winger.

Yesterday, however, Maitland-Niles hit out at the Gunners for stopping the move on social media. That could make a potential switch difficult.

Outgoing - Moise Kean

The striker's disappointing Goodison spell is poised to come to an end.

Kean has been in Italy tying up his return to Juventus only two years after leaving for Everton in a deal worth around £25 million.

The 21-year-old has scored just four times in 39 games on Merseyside, though, and was sent off in his final outing at Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup last week.

Kean will join Juve on a two-year loan with the obligation to buy if certain targets are met.

Incoming - Luis Diaz

The Porto winger has strongly been linked with a move to Merseyside.

Diaz impressed during the Copa American earlier this summer and finished as joint-top goalscorer with Lionel Messi on four efforts.

James Rodriguez could act as a potential makeweight in a deal but his wages are making things complicated.

The Colombian has been told he is not in Benitez's plans from near the beginning of pre-season.

Earning around £200,000 per week, the Everton boss has doubts about whether he's getting true value for money and if Rodriguez can fit into the intense style of football.

Along with Rodriguez being touted as going the other way to fund a deal for Diaz, AC Milan is also a possible destination.

Incoming - Nathan Patterson

He's a player that Everton have been pursuing this summer to provide cover and competition for Seamus Coleman at right-back.

The Blues have had two bids turned down by Rangers, with the latest being £8 million.

However, Benitez could continue his chase for the 19-year-old and make another improved offer.

Outgoing - Jonjoe Kenny

Should Everton land a right-back then it could spell the end of the academy's time at the club.

Kenny would be demoted to third choice should and selling him would free up funds.

The 24-year-old has had loan spells at Schalke and Celtic in the past two seasons and has been unable to force his way into Benitez's plans so far.

The Blues reportedly would like around £5 million for him.

Incoming - Salomon Rondon

The striker's potential arrival doesn't come as a massive shock given his links with Benitez.

The Spaniard signed Rondon on loan while manager at Newcastle before taking him to Chinese Super League club Dalian Professional - his current club.

The 31-year-old has been in talks with Everton. With Kean set to depart, Rondon would provide cover for Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Outgoing - Jarrad Branthwaite

The centre-back is highly rated at Goodison, having been purchased as a 17-year-old from Carlisle 18 months ago.

But with Ben Godfrey, Yerry Mina, Michael Keane and Mason Holgate as options, Everton could look to loan Branthwaite out where he would garner more first-team experience.

Scottish Premiership side Hearts have reportedly expressed interest in the defender.
