Merseyside weather update Tuesday, 18 January, plus five-day forecast: Fog changing to sunny

The dry start to the week for the region continues. We're seeing winter sunshine over St Helens and Southport, partly cloudy elsewhere. Temperatures sitting between 6°C and 7°C.

As we move towards the middle of the week, we could be seeing some wet weather. There's a 55% chance of light rain over Birkenhead. Temperatures reaching highs of 10°C

And looking at the five-day forecast now, it's a dry picture for the most part. After a chance of showers mid-week, we're seeing temperatures drop right down. Though there is sun, there's a real chill in the air.

As the weekend approaches, we could see some patchy showers. By Saturday, it's looking dry, albeit overcast.
