Merseyside weather update Tuesday, 11 January, plus five-day forecast: Light rain and sunny intervals

As we start the week, there's winter sunshine though there is still a chance of some wet weather with a 22% chance of rain in Liverpool. Temperatures sitting between 9°C and 10°C.

As we move towards the middle of the week, it's a dry albeit overcast picture for the region. Temperatures remain cold, reaching highs of 8°C except for Southport, where it's getting up to 9°C.

And looking at the five-day forecast now, it's a sunny start to the week. Things are looking dry after those showers at the beginning of the week, and we could even see temperatures climb into double figures.

Nevertheless, there's some winter sunshine expected, so grab your sunglasses on your way out of the house and be careful when driving with that low winter sun that can be dazzling.
