Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Steve Willington, said Jocelyn 'will be a step down relative to Storm Isha' but 'unsettled' conditions are expected.

As a result, the Met Office has issued a number of weather warnings, with parts of Scotland currently under an amber alert for wind.

In Liverpool and Merseyside, a yellow warning for wind comes into force at 4.00pm on Tuesday and will last until 1.00pm on Wednesday.

Northern Rail is urging customers to check before they travel, with the storm expected to cause delays and disruption to train services.
