Over seventy gorgeous dogs are currently being looked after by Dogs Trust's Merseyside team.
It is just ten days until Christmas and while most of us are wrapping presents and enjoying the most wonderful time of the year, dogs all over the country are facing a lonely Christmas day.
Over seventy gorgeous dogs are currently being looked after by Dogs Trust's Merseyside team and may have to spend their Christmas in the kennels, without a loving family by their sides.
So, if you were thinking about buying a dog as a present, why not consider adopting one of these lovely dogs or puppies and making their dreams come true.
From Labradors to Huskies, here are 13 precious puppies and dogs who are up for adoption in Liverpool and Merseyside.
Ruby is a Siberian Husky cross who can live with older teens and will need to be the only dog at home as her play style is too rough. She is house trained but does not like to be left alone. It is possible that any alone time can be built up gradually to allow her to adjust. Photo: Dogs Trust Merseyside
6. Rocco
Rocco is a crossbreed who is under six months old. He can live with children over the age of 10 and no other pets at the moment. Photo: Dogs Trust Merseyside
7. Bella
Bella is a Golden Retriever cross looking for a permanent home in Merseyside with her pal Suzie, but she isn't very tolerant of other dogs. They can be left alone for a couple of hours and are both house trained. Dogs Trust ask that you please consider the grooming costs of adopting two dogs. Photo: Dogs Trust Merseyside
8. Kiwi
Kiwi is a Boxer cross who needs a home free from other pets and where any children are 16 or over. She's silly and loving, she just needs someone who is willing to put in a little work with her to give her another chance. Photo: Dogs Trust Merseyside
