Liverpool confirm Alisson Becker and two other players who’ve tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of Chelsea
Liverpool’s three players who’ve tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss today’s trip to Chelsea have been confirmed.
The Reds will be without Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp admitted there was three players in his squad who were suspected to have contracted coronavirus.
Klopp himself will also be absent after testing positive amid record high cases in the Premier League.
A Liverpool statement said: “Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip have been ruled out of Liverpool’s clash with Chelsea today after returning suspected positive tests for COVID-19.
“The trio will play no part in the fixture at Stamford Bridge and are now isolating.

Hide Ad“It follows news Jürgen Klopp will not be present at the encounter after also registering a suspected positive test.
“All other members of the Reds’ playing squad have subsequently been tested and received negative results.”
Who will replace the trio?
Republic of Ireland international Caoimhin Kelleher replaces Alisson in goal.
Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate comes in for Matip to partner Virgil van Dijk in central defence.
Diogo Jota starts up front and Firmino would likely have been on the bench anyway.
