IN form Jon Wilkin insists Saints’ form is yet to peak this season and remains convinced they can “do a Leeds” and win the Super League.
The versatile forward, 28, praised Wigan and Warrington for their consistent league form so far this year, but warned that there is still plenty more to come from Saints.
He told the Reporter: “We’ve been quietly building some momentum in recent weeks, without playing to our full capability, which is a good sign.
“When we do hit a rich vein of form, we know we’ve got what it takes to win the big games.
“It’s all about making sure we finish in the top three or four in the league and then timing that run of form.
“The challenge for Wigan and Warrington is to maintain such a high level of form, but we’ve not peaked yet, which is promising.
“We’re all proud professionals who want to finish as high as we possibly can in the league.
“Of course, we’re not where we’d like to be, but the fans have really responded to our efforts to turn the season around. They’ve been immense.
“We all believe we can win every single game we play in this competition, as long as we play to our best – even against the big teams.”
