PAUL Wellens is set to return for Sunday’s cup tie after missing the last two matches due to an Achilles problem.
And Gary Wheeler, who has been sidelined for several months following surgery on a dislocated shoulder joint, will also hopefully figure in coach Royce Simmons’ team plans for the following weekend’s trip to Castleford Tigers.
Saints have no injury worries to report from Friday night’s victory over Catalans Dragons, in which long-time absentee Leon Pryce was eased back into the action midway through the second half.
Pryce, who had missed the previous 19 matches due to a groin problem, said: “It was great to be out there with the boys once more, but I must admit it was nerve-racking after being on the sidelines so long.
“I was happy with my contribution but I have still a lot of work to do.”
