NATHAN Brown has called for a top-drawer performance against Wigan after admitting Saints have saved their best form for away from home so far this year.
He added that his side had enjoyed a bit of a “head start” to their preparations after sitting out the weekend action.
“You’d much rather be playing in the cup quarter final, but it’s a chance to rest a few bodies and for the players to work on some individual parts of their games,” he said.
“Our best performances this season have generally been away from home - Warrington, Leeds, Bradford and Castleford. It would be nice to put in a great home performance against the team the fans would like to see us play well against the most.
“We still hold out hope of a good finish to this year. It hasn’t been smooth sailing this seas but with a bit of momentum and confidence there could still be some life in it.
“Improving each week and being consistent is the biggest key for us.”
