Saints coach Nathan Brown praised the team spirit in the dressing room following last week’s nailbiting 14-10 win over Leeds Rhinos.
He also described the win as one of the most satisfying since he’s been at the club.
Brown said: “The team spirit and confidence is high and the guys are working hard for each other, that’s the big thing - defensively they are working really hard to help each other out.
“It’s the quality of the side you beat isn’t it? To have what we had out and to play against such a good team is what made that such a great win. It wasn’t just any side we beat - it was Leeds. They’re a terrific side.”
He added: “The younger blokes are obviously doing well but they thrive off the great leadership we’ve got, which is proving very beneficial.”
