SAINTS have signed teenager Adam Swift on a two year contract.

The 18-year-old (pictured above with family) made his debut recently against Salford U20s and can play at either stand-off or full-back. He agreed terms from Blackbrook with already a number of honours to his name.

The youngster – who is the grandson of long serving BARLA member Harold Swift MBE – has played with GB’s Community Lions in France and also against the Australian Schoolboys in December 2010.

“Adam is a player we have tracked for a while,” Head of Youth, Mike Rush, said. “He is a good young lad, with a great attitude.

“He had a great amateur career and we hope he continues that development at the club. We are very grateful to Blackbrook, their volunteers and coaches who give their valuable time to help these players achieve.”
