YOUNGSTER Matty Fozard has left St Helens for Sheffield Eagles on a two-year deal.
The 20-year-old hooker can play anywhere in the pack, and played for Batley on loan last season.

Fozard missed out on a place in the Wales squad for this year’s European Championship due to a broken jaw, but Eagles director of rugby Mark Aston is excited to have him on board.
“We are really excited to have Matty on board, he is someone that we are really looking forward to working with,” Aston said.
“He is tough but with a wide range of skills and he is someone that we really think that we can bring on. He is young, he has experience of playing in a full-time environment and he is someone we have identified who has a lot of untapped potential.
Fozard made his Super League debut for St. Helens in 2014 against Widnes Vikings and he is also a full Wales international after making his debut for the national side in the same year.
“He has the experience of playing on the international scene which will have been of great benefit to him,” Aston added.
“He is missing the upcoming European Championships with a broken jaw but he’ll be back in action soon and I’m sure he is really looking forward to starting the next chapter in his career.”
