KEIRON Cunningham is planning a quick operation as he takes his St Helens side to Perpignan to face Catalans Dragons on Saturday.
The champions open their Super 8s campaign in the south of France looking to consolidate their position in the top four play-off spots, while the Dragons will be fighting to keep their slim hopes of making the final cut alive.

And Cunningham is planning to do the whole trip in just one day to minimise impact on the rest of his club’s push for a return to Old Trafford.
“We’re going to try and tackle it in a day,” he revealed.
“We’re going to charter a plane, go over on the Saturday and do it in a day. I don’t really like the idea of my players sat around in the sun for three or four days then going playing a game of rugby. We’ll try it and see how it goes.”
Despite Catalans occupying the bottom place in the Super 8s, Cunningham is expecting a stern test.
“We have to get in that Grand Final mentality and grind these games out,” he said. “It’s always going to be tough in Catalans. They’re a good side and they have some great players along with everything else that goes with the trip.”
