Top spot is up for grabs when St Helens Ladies travel to Castleford on Sunday in a high octane Super League clash.

Saints head the table after five games, but face a Tigers team which is just one point behind them.

The game kicks off at 5.30pm and fans are welcome to attend – but they must purchase a full match ticket as Castleford host Hull KR from 3.30pm beforehand.

Head coach Mark Brennan is expecting a tough test against a side which he describes as ‘strong and with quality all over the park.’

He said: “I have worked with a number of the players there in the past and know what they are capable of.

“We have been working hard this week to improve and will look to take this into game day. It will be a hard match game and we are expecting a big crowd which will be good for the women’s game.

“In terms of our squad, we have moved a few players around this week due to injuries so we are looking at a few new combinations.”

Squad: Pip Birchall, Leah Burke, Chantelle Crowl, Lizzie Gladman, Zoe Harris, Tara Jones, Sarah Lovejoy, Carys Marsh, Roxy Mura, Chloe Richardson, Rebecca Rotheram, Emily Rudge, Isabelle Rudge, Alex Simpson, Dawn Taylor, Jade Ward, Katie-May Williams, Naomi Williams.
