CARETAKER Saints boss Mike Rush is under no illusion about the dangers posed by on-song Hull KR.

The two teams go into Friday night’s clash at Langtree Park among Super League’s form sides.

And Rush is adamant Saints will need to be on top of their game if they are continue their winning ways.

He said: “Along with Wigan Warriors and ourselves, they are currently the in-form team of Super League and we will need to be at our very best to succeed.”

Although the Humbersiders toppled to a 13-10 home defeat against Catalans Dragons on Friday, considered undeserved by most neutral observers, they had previously claimed three notable scalps in Huddersfield Giants (44-26), Warrington Wolves (23-22), and Hull FC (32-30), as well as crushing struggling Castleford Tigers 70-12.

The Saints stand-in coach said: “It is an impressive record, but I can’t say for sure whether the defeat against the French will prick their confidence or not.”

“We will also need to be at our best defensively to handle Craig Hall, Michael Dobson and Ben Galea, who have all been playing well.

“And with Blake Green now back in the mix, they will be formidable opposition.”
