St James’ Park got the thumbs-up as a Magic Weekend venue from Keiron Cunningham.
Cunningham has experienced the event as a coach and a player, from venues stretching from Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium up to Edinburgh’s Murrayfield.
But last weekend was one of the most memorable for the coach.
“It’s definitely a venue I think we should look at again.
“There was a lot of walk up trade on that second day.
“I love the Millennium. I’ve got this little love affair with the Millennium Stadium.
“We’ve won some trophies there and I played a few great games for Wales there.
“But after the Millennium, I’d like to see it go back to Newcastle.”
