Keiron Cunninham has admitted he understands Saints’ fans frustration at the club’s poor form.
Cunningham who was taunted by jubilant Wire supporters that he was “getting sacked in the morning”, said: “The fans pay their money and they are entitled to an opinion. They are just as desperate as me for the team to do well.
“They’ve got to vent their frustrations somewhere but I don’t take it personally, even though they are shouting about me.
“I understand where they are coming from. I am fighting as hard as they want us to fight and we will get there.
“It was a tough night - it’s a results-based industry and, when you don’t pick a few results up, it seems like the world is against you.
“I thought effort-wise, we had that in abundance.
“The difference in the two sides was that we just weren’t quite clinical enough with the ball.
“Warrington had five or six chances and they took them.
“We had a lion’s share of possession in the first half and lot of opportunities but came away with nothing.”
