St Helens never looked back after winger Rachael Woosey scored two tries in the first 20 minutes to establish a 12-0 lead.

Jodie Cunningham and Naomi Williams also touched down twice and other tries came from Rebecca Rotheram, Amy Hardcastle, Danielle Bush and Faye Gaskin, who also kicked seven goals.

The Wolves trailed 54-0 before Kiera McCosh grabbed a late consolation try, which was converted by Michelle Davis.

Leeds Rhinos extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 74-6 victory over Wakefield Trinity, with Caitlin Beevers and Fran Goldthorp both scoring hat-tricks for the reigning champions, who were leading 26-0 when Trinity scored in the final play of the first half through Abby Price.

It may be the early stages of the new season but many people are expecting Saints and Leeds to be in the hunt for league and cup success.
