Percival deserves change of luck says Saints boss
Centre Mark Percival will hopefully be knocking on the door of St Helens head coach Kristian Woolf and his England international boss, Shaun Wane, and remind both of his aims and aspirations in what is a big year for the sport of Rugby League.
Percival, who turns 27 next month, will want to leave an injury-ravaged season behind him - initially trying to help St Helens lift the Challenge Cup, their third Betfred Super League title on the trot, and the end-of-season World Cup.
Woolf is confident that the Widnes-born player, who only featured in five games in 2020, can re-establish himself as one of the best centres in the 13-a-side code.
He said: ''Yes I do, 100 per cent. I felt sorry for him last year because he basically played only two and a half games for us. due to all the problems he suffered.
''I just hope he has better luck this year.''
