Josh Perry has decided to hang up his boots, bringing down the curtain on a career which started with Newcastle Knights at the turn of the Millennium.

But the last three seasons as a top-flight player at St Helens have been nothing short of a nightmare for the 32-year-old Australian international prop forward.

Perry (pictured) has been ravaged by injury, only making 44 appearances (35 starts and nine as a substitute) and scoring just a couple of tries and describing it as the most frustrating period of his entire career.

g Saints’ 27-man Academy squad have arrived in Australia ahead of their three week tour.

The club’s potential stars of the future face fixtures against St George (October 13), Central Coast (October 18), Wests Tigers (October 26) and

Penrith (October 26), as well as visiting Sydney Swans AFL.
