A superb all-round team performance from Heath in brushing aside Sankey.

Heath opened the scoring early on with a tap in for Gareth Smith,

Danny Hand then added his first after superb interplay from Dean Curtis, Chris Powell and Gareth Smith setting him free to cooly slot home.

Midway through the half a Dean Curtis shot was superbly saved. From the resulting corner Daryl McCartney prodded home to treble the lead.

Chris Powell then went close to scoring, pulling his shot just wide.

At the other end the Heath back four were excellent and restricted the visitors to long range efforts.

Heath started the second well scoring early on through Danny Hands cool finish.

A great save from Vale’s keeper stopped Heath from adding to their tally ,

A great chance was then squandered by Danny Large. Minutes later he home side missed from the spot, from the resulting corner Daryl McCartney powerfully headed home for his second and Heath’s fifth.

Vale had the chance to reduce matters but a superb headed goal line clearance from Adam Short saved the day.

Vale then were awarded a penalty, which they dispatched sending the keeper the wrong way.

This was shortlived as Danny Hand produced a 30 yard thunderbolt into the roof of the net for his hat-trick. Minutes later Heath completed the scoring with Gareth Smith’s bullet header from a corner. In the dying seconds a Danny Large effort came back of the crossbar.
