The Ladies seconds played one of their best games of the season to come back from 4-2 down with nine minutes remaining to clinch a superb victory.

Goals from Sandra Follis, Amy Huyghes (2), Ali Middleham and Charlotte Middleham.

Prescot Men seconds 3 Bolton 0

Prescot needed to win to secure their position in division 5. A fast start saw Mike Collins score his first goal for Prescot followed by a neat touch from Craig Jones to make it two nil. In the second half Bolton lost their composure and Prescot capitalised with a flick scored by Liam Talbot.

The win should secure north west division 5 hockey next season.

Prescot Men 5 Rochdale 4

With Prescot clinching the title last week they might have decided to take it easy against Rochdale who were also unbeaten since December.

The top two in the division traded goals in the first half with goals from Doyle and Boulton for Prescot. In the second half the hosts upped their game and Prescot were on the back foot until another stunning goal from Mortimer brought it back to 3-4.

With eight minuted to go Johnson equalised for Prescot and with almost the last shot of the game Doyle buried a short corner to condemn Rochdale to defeat and miss out on promotion.

Prescot win the title in style with Carlisle also promoted.

On Sunday the ladies thirds travelled to Manchester for a final game of the season. It has been a great success for the ladies thirds having won 14, drawn 2 and lost only one game in their first season.

Meanwhile, the mixed team beat a strong Stockport team 4 -1 in the England Hockey Mixed trophy competition.
