Prescot Cables ended their season in style with this second consecutive home win at Valerie Park in a fast and exciting game.
Cables carved out of the best chances during the opening exchanges and they were rewarded just before half time when Isaac Kusaloka flicked home Rob Doran’s cross from close range.
Kusaloka almost added a second just before half time when Moss lost possession and the striker fired in another powerful effort which Collins-Reed pushed away for a corner.
Salford started the second half brightest but the home side withstood the pressure and responded with a goal on the 57th minute.
A low corner by Danny Brooks was back-heeled acros the goal mouth by Craig Haynes before Kusaloka pounced to score his second.
Salford had the ball in the net on 65 minutes through Willaims but he was adjudged offside as he fired home.
Kusaloka had a fine chance to claim a hat-trick but his shot hit the crossbar. Doran and Bannister also had chances to add to Prescot’s total but the homesters had to wait until the 81st minute for their third goal.
With his first touch of the game, substitute Parish put in a dangerous cross which Phil Bannister latched on to, fire home a powerful shot from 12 yards out.
Rudd scored a late consolation for Salford.
Cables made two further changes Robinson replacing Kusaloka and Morton replacing King. The perfect way to end the season.
