Darts pair on brink of Premier exit

Dave Chisnall and Michael Smith are in danger of suffering an early exit from the Betway Premier Darts League which carries total prize money of £725,000.

The St Helens pair languish at the foot of the table with only three points from their eight matches and face the aptly named Judgement Night in Cardiff next Thursday when the bottom two will be eliminated.

Chisnall, who hasn’t won since the opening night of the series, faces former world finalist Peter Wright and Smith takes on 16-times world champion Phil Taylor.

Chizzy’s latest setback came at the Echo Arena, Liverpoo,l last night (Thursday) when he toppled to a 7-4 defeat at the hands of world champion Gary Anderson while Smith lost 7-5 to fellow struggler Robert Thornton.
