HOOKER Scott Moore signed for Widnes Vikings less than 72 hours after pulling on the red vee for Saints in the Super League Grand Final.
Moore, who became the youngest Super League player when he made his Saints debut in 2004, put pen to paper on a three-year deal.
The 23-year-old, a member of the 2009 Super League Dream Team, gained top-flight experience not only at Saints, but on loan at Castleford and Huddersfield.
He made his international debut two years ago, and was this week named in the 22-man England Knights squad to take on France at Leigh Sports Village on October 15.
Vikings head coach Denis Betts said: “In my opinion, he is definitely one of the best hookers in Super League and, for somebody so young, he has a tremendous amount of first-team experience.
“Scott has regularly played at the highest level and competed in the play-offs, a Grand Final, a Challenge Cup final and on the international stage.
“Having sampled experiences such as these, he’ll be hungry for more of the same, and his appetite to succeed will be infectious to all of those around him.
“To recruit a player of his pedigree is another massive step forward for the club.
“I’m certain he’ll be the backbone of the team for many a year.”
