Jonny Lomax has suffered what is feared to be a potentially season ending injury during Saturday’s devastating loss to Catalan Dragons.
Saints coach Nathan Brown described Lomax’s injury as “disastrous” but was unable to provide a comprehensive account of the player’s injury in the immediate aftermath of the game.
The England ace’s knee buckled as he returned a Catalan kick and he fell to the floor without being tackled.
“It’s bad, bad news for Jonny,” said Brown. “It’s not looking very good at all unfortunately.”
It is believed Lomax was tended to by French doctors in the aftermath of the game.
The club are yet to release any further statement on Lomax’s condition.
