ANTHONY Laffranchi wants to prolong his stay at St Helens after a successful first season with the club.
The big Australian has been a regular since arriving at Langtree Park at the start of the 2012 campaign and is now starting talks to extend his contract.
He said: “I’m up at the end of 2013 and I’m in the process of extending that.
“I’ll sit down with (coach) Nathan Brown and (chairman) Eamonn McManus. If we could sort something before Christmas, that would be great.”
The 32-year-old former West Tigers prop is impressed with the additions to the squad and is itching to make a good impression on new coach Nathan Brown.
“Everyone has got a new coach to impress and it makes everyone work that little bit harder,” added Laffranchi.
“Nathan has come in with some great ideas and I think everyone has taken to it.
“Willie is going to be a great addition to the pack, Jordan is a big centre and Alex looks great. He’s a big guy and he’s already rattling a few blokes in training.”
