ONE lucky fans will start a new era when Saints entertain neighbours Widnes in the annual pre-season Karalius Cup friendly at Langtree Park on Friday, January 20 – the club’s first match in their new 18,000 capacity stadium.
The club is inviting cash bids from supporters who want to perform the kick-off, and the person making the highest offer will experience a night he, or she, will never forget.
Apart from lining up on the halfway line and setting the game in motion, the successful bidder will receive:
n The tee and match ball;
n A photograph of the kick-off which will be signed by all the players;
n Four hospitality places in the sponsors’ lounge;
n Full 2012 home kit with printing.
He, or she, will also make the post-game presentation to the Saints man of the match, tour the changing rooms, listen to coach Royce Simmons’ post-match press conference, and feature in a follow-up story in Saints v Salford City Reds match programme.
To bid for this unique opportunity send an email to email@example.com, no later than January 3.
Part of the proceeds will go to the Saints Community Development Foundation.
As of Monday night, the highest bid stood at £666.66 for the privilege of taking centre stage at Langtree Park.
