Former Saints ace Josh Jones has been snapped up by Salford Reds Devils following his exit from rugby union side Exeter Chiefs.
Jones left St Helens for Devon club at the end of the 2015 season on a two-year deal, but within 24 hours of his decision to quit the 15-a-side code he had joined the ambitious Greater Manchester Super League club.
The 22-year-old can play across the back-row or in the centre, and during his time at Langtree Park made more than 100 appearance and scored 27 tries.
Jones, who joined Saints from Blackbrook as a 13-year-old and came through the junior and youth system, failed to make single appearances for Exeter - the club allowing him to go on loan to Taunton Tigers to 'learn his trade' in the 15-a-side code.
"He's a fantastic addition to our squad," said Rainford-based owner Marwan Koukash
