Langtree Park will once more be the venue for the Jim Forshaw St Helens Schools’ Cup Finals on Wednesday, June 4.
As in previous seasons, the three Year 7, 9 and 11 finals are at Langtree Park, while Year 8 and 10 will be held at Thatto Heath on June 5.
The Paul Wellens Cup Final (Year 7s) will kick off at 5.30pm, the Chris Arkwright Cup Final (Year 9s) will start at 6.45pm and the Alex
Murphy Cup Final (Year 11s) will commence at 8pm.
The player of the match awards along with trophies and medals will be chosen and presented by St Helens captain Paul Wellens, and ex-players Chris Arkwright and Alex Murphy respectively.
The following day the Eric Chisnall Cup Final (Year 8s) wll be staged wth a 2.30pm kick-off and followed by the Keiron Cunningham Cup Final (Year 10s) at 4pm.
Again the player of the match awards along with the trophies and medals will be chosen and presented by Saints ‘old boys’ Eric Chisnall and Keiron Cunningham respectively.
Saints U19s kept in touch with top spot following a convincing 58-12 win at Bradford Bulls on Thursday night.
Powerful forward Andre Savelio claimed a hat-trick and other scores were Lewis Charnock (2), Matthew Fozard, Daniel Abram, Daniel Richardson, Phil Atherton and Jake Spedding. Charnock landed seven goals and Dave Hewitt (2).
It was Saints eighth victory of the campaign, taking them on to 12 points, two adrift of Huddersfield Giants and four behind Warrington Wolves and Leeds Rhinos.
