JAMIE Foster has pledged to help turn Langtree Park into a fortress.
The 21-year-old winger, who signed a two-year contract last week, scored in St Helens’ 42-24 win over Widnes on Friday.
After the game, he was admitted the performance wasn’t one of the side’s best.
“Langtree Park has everything this club needs to move on, hopefully we can put in a few performances that are better than the one on Friday,” he said.
“It wasn’t our best, we were a little bit rusty.
“But then you’ve got to give credit to Widnes. That was their third friendly, and you could tell, as they looked sharp.
“We have the players and the fanbase to turn Langtree Park into a fortress. But the supporters aren’t going to jump the fence and make the tackles. Teams aren’t going to turn up and be turned over.”
