There are growing concerns among officials of semi-professional clubs that senior non-league soccer will be suspended for the rest of the season

With the country back in a national lockdown and no matches being played for the time being Northern Premier League outfit Prescot Cables, and NWCL clubs, St Helens Town and Pilkington FC are left kicking their heels in frustration at the situation.

Some clubs may not survive the current Covid-19 crisis and that would be a crying shame.

Neither is it helping matters by the football authorities' reluctance at this moment in time to declare the season null and void.

I can't see any other option as it would present a nightmare for any secretary trying to sort out the fixtures for the rest of the season.

I know three NWCL clubs who have only played three league games so far - and February is just around the corner!
