Keiron Cunnningham is going into tonight’s semi-final with no fear despite Leeds being the bookies favourites to make the Grand Final.
Leeds have done the double in the regular season and beaten them in the Challenge Cup, but the champions were 32-18 winners at Headingley in the Super 8s just a month ago.
And the Saints coach, who is hoping to take his home-town team to Old Trafford in his first season in the hot seat, is not sure if that recent victory will be relevant.
“It always helps going to Headingley and winning but we went there earlier in the year and got an absolute touch-up,” he said.
“It really is a tough place to go.
“Leeds have had a bit of a blip in recent weeks but at this moment in time they’re the best team in the competition.
We looked a little lethargic last week against Warrington which I could understand. We’ll be better this weekend, I have no doubt about thatSaints head coach Keiron Cunningham
“It’s a massive game and we understand what it takes to win massive games.
