Skateboarding problems in town centre

Regarding the problem of skateboarders in Church Square, I believe police are also overlooking the nuisance caused by cyclists.

I was walking along Church Street about two weeks ago and a young man passed me on a bike and just missed my arm, never stopping to say sorry. He went straight in the middle of the pavement missing other people as he went by. He dropped his bike outside the shop doorway where other people were walking and went inside the shop. He was a danger to himself and other people. It is the same with skateboards. I have seen many near misses on Church Square. I think these people should have to pay insurance because they are a danger not only to themselves but to other. They should not be using bikes or skateboards anywhere near where people walk.
