Youngsters making the garden look rosy

EVERYTHING in the garden is looking rosy - thanks to a group of young people in St Helens who have volunteered to take part cheering up people in their community.

More than 30 young people, aged between five and 17, have been making garden decorations to donate to pensioners.

The council-run scheme helped them create a range of garden decorations out of recycled bottles, plastic jars and unwanted vinyl.
