Woman charged with PPI theft

A Newton woman has been charged after she was accused of stealing money from customers at a PPI company.

Louise Hitchen, 28, of School Street, Newton-le-Willows, appeared at Wigan Magistrates’ Court, charged with two offences of fraud whilst in a position of trust.

A total of £93,000 was stolen from a Wigan PPI company.

She was released on unconditional bail for a trial at Liverpool Crown Court on February 25.
