A man believed to have fallen from a railway bridge in St Helens has died, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to Haresfinch Road, St Helens at 9am today, Monday, following reports there was an injured man in the road.
Merseyside Police said it is believed the male may have fallen from a railway bridge.
Police said the man had since died.
A force spokesman said his death was being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
No further details have been released.
College Street and Haresfinch Road were closed temporarily but have now reopened.
