An industrial unit was cordoned off and roads were closed after an acetylene cylinder went up in flames sparking fears of a large explosion.
Fire crews were called out early this morning to tackle the large blaze.
Firefighters rushed to a site on Neills Road in Bold at around 8.30am on Monday.
A number of the surrounding roads were also shut by the emergency services to reduce the risk to passing members of the public.
On arrival, they found an area near an acetylene cylinder ablaze.
They took around 30 minutes to extinguish the flames and spent most of the morning cooling the cylinder.
A cordon remains in place around the site.
Three engines were dispatched the incident.
