COLLECTING her GCSE results last Thursday was bright St Aelred’s pupil Rebecca Cotterill.
Sixteen-year-old Rebecca, of Burtonwood, was cool as a cucumber as she collected an amazing six A*s and five As.
She told the Reporter: “The results are a bit better than I expected so I’m really happy with them. The A* in English is the one I’m most happy with.
“I didn’t find it too stressful coming in this morning - I just took it in my stride. My friends and family are all really chuffed for me though.
“I’m going to Winstanley College now to study A levels in biology, chemistry, Spanish and PE. I’m hoping to become a physiotherapist in the future.”
Best friends Robert Marcroft and Chris Cunliffe were both happy with their results too.
Both 16-year-olds are now going on to study A-levels, with a view to going to university in the future.
