A man from Blackbrook charged over the theft of a diamond wedding ring is among those in today’s court hearings.

Anthony Mills (43): Glamorgan Close, St Helens - Stole two Persil Liquids to the value of £20 from Wilkinsons: 12 month conditional discharge, £15 victim surchagre, £150 criminal courts charge.

Christopher Roy Atherton (22): Blackstone Avenue, Blackbrook, St Helens - Dishonestly undertook or assisted in retention, removal or disposal of stolen goods, a platinum wedding band and two gold diamond cluster rings to the value of £2,000, belonging to Karen Broughton: Sent for trial at Liverpool Crown Court on December 8.

Deborah Margaret Lowe (45): North Road, St Helens - Stole clothing and footwear worth £57 from Asda: Jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, £150 criminal courts charge.
