Kind-hearted children at a St Helens school welcomed two special guests to thank them for their fundraising efforts.

Broad Oak Community Primary School was visited by Children In Need’s Pudsey Bear and Blush Bear to pick up a £358.58 cheque.

The visit was arranged by Matthew Glennard from Lloyds Bank.

The bumper cheque was raised by children and staff dressing as superheroes and taking part in various activities.

Headteacher Melanie Hignett said: “The children were thrilled when Pudsey and Blush arrived at school as a reward for a great effort fundraising for less fortunate children.

“Thank you to Matthew for arranging this to happen.”
